I travel an hour to get there and DS all day within the proper methods and cant buy a bite. I went east to the cross area. Moved all over, no fish. Then the channels, no fish. Went west past the Islands but before the bridge, no fish!! I am frustrated beyond myself. Where are the fish???!
What area of the lake do the go in Feburary?

Tight Lines!
God Bless

I went on a guide yesterday with a pretty well known group and we caught exactly 2 stripers the whole day. From what they told us, ALOT of people took home a skunk. We hit a lot of the lake and couldn’t find fish. Graphing in 30-40ft and also in like 70ish feet. I think the weather played a role in it. No wind, no clouds, and a cold front moving in a couple days before. Just bad conditions unfortunately. I would say try try again.

Deadsticking is hot and cold and when it’s hot it’s epic and when it’s cold it’s nuclear winter! The fish are there west and north but you have to find them and when you do, they have to want to feed it’s just the way it is sometimes! Keep going and you will hit an epic day!

If I were fishing Oma, I'd be west of the 377 bridge.

Are you using thumper or splasher? If thumper you need to find the "sweet" spot on your boat or you will have opposite result, chasing them away. Jbobo just posted this info and i had the same experience several times. I ended up using my splasher and it's way more consistent. The area depth of 55 to 70 is correct. I've been concentrating more on the 60ft areas.

I torn my calf muscle playing basketball on Monday after the superbowl and will be out if commission for a few weeks. At age 56, i pushed basketball as long as I could for cardio but mother nature tells me it's time. Lol. The fish are very happy to hear the news. Lol

I feel your pain. I went Saturday from 9 am till 2:30. Marked tons of fish, but no takers. From the Highport Marina to 377 and back (a few times) Nothing. Chatted with a couple people at the ramp and they were skunked also.

My brother and I were there Saturday. Bluebird skies and no wind until late afternoon. We marked thousands of fish from big mineral to shepherd and had 3 bumps all day till almost sunset. The wind picked up a little bit and I caught 2 and missed several bumps. Very few people caught fish from all the reports I got afterwards.
