The TPWD Elite angler program is a unique and fun recognition to accomplish. For years there have only been 5 anglers that have achieved both the saltwater and freshwater Elite angler recognition and my wife, Karen, and I are the only couple on both lists. A couple that we met, and have fished with, have been working on their elite angler certification. Alessander (Alex) Russian has completed his freshwater and saltwater certification and I just got word that his wife, Elizabeth (Ellie) Russian caught a monster 42โ black drum to complete her saltwater Elite angler certification. Since Ellie already has her freshwater Elite angler certification, Alex and Ellie will be the 6th and 7th anglers to have both certifications. They will be the 2nd couple on both lists and Ellie will be the second female angle to make both lists. Congratulations Alex And Ellie. I thought everyone might enjoy seeing some of their catches.
