On forward facing sonar, they are ahead of everyone and my guess is they have been working on a 2nd Gen transducer, which I'm sure will outperform all their peers. They have several new patents that have been registered since their original forward sonar patent.

I have heard at the classic but who knows.. It is hush hush from Garmin testers ..I always get I know nothing.. The lowrance guys are saying yes it is coming out...

Free software upgrade was released a few weeks ago.
