I just rewatched "Pulp Fiction" again. It's been a long time, and I liked most of the movie, but some stuff was just silly. To the Point: There is NO FREAKIN' WAY Mia and Vincent would have won any dance contest with what they did! We saw no other dancers, but we didn't need to after their performance. What do you think? Addendum: I like Uma Thurman overall, but she was repulsive in this movie. Most characters were. Overall, I guess I have such disdain for druggies. ...!

Well when you consider that most of the movie was about 2 hitmen disposing of a body they had blown the head off of I can see how the drug use could trouble you......

I like some of Tarantino's movies--Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown, and Inglourious Bastards.
A lot of Pulp Fiction is very good, but the interactions between Travolta and Thurman's character are annoying and ridiculous (including the dance).

This was Uma Thurman’s mother, just for comparison.

1. Yes, viewing hardcore druggies use bothers me more than watching someone get shot. I admit it. I hate what drugs do to people, and what druggies do to their families.
2. Uma's mom looks great!
3. The dancing wasn't bad, it just seemed to simple. Hence, I doubt they would have won a contest over other couple's who practiced a lot. * A flaw in the movie! Doh! *

Marsellus was hitting that, it’s a wonder she could even walk, let alone dance.

Actually they don't win the contest. In the next scene they are in the car and the radio announcer says that the trophy was stolen or something like that. I forget exactly but this movie is great - really weird in places but great.

Mr. Fisherinok, I just rewatched the dance scene, again, sort of lame'ish, but not horrible, and watched the scenes thereafter.
There was NO radio talk of the trophy. The next "radio talk" was when Butch jumped out of the window after winning the boxing match. The hot cab driver is listening to the radio discussion about "boxing."
You are probably correct about the trophy being stolen, but I don't care to rewatch in its entirety to find the "radio spot."
If what you say is true, then I was correct. There is NO WAY those two could have won the dance contest. Thanks for playing.
Addendum: The other part of the movie I dislike is when Jules spouts out Bible phrases when he's about to kill someone, and when Kathy Griffin's face shows up in a street scene.

Snorting some lines bothers you? Did 2 dudes getting ball gagged in a pawn shop basement and meeting a gimp at least come in 2nd place?

You were repulsed by the drug use but accepting of Ving Rhames getting violently molested.
Got it

It's amusing how you cats "run" with nonsense.
Many things in the movie, if real, would bother me.
I was talking about Uma Thurman's performance, and how I thought her character was gross. Her specified "drug use" was/is repulsive. I hate drug use and druggies.
That does NOT mean I'm cool with murder and rape, but it's all good.
We all have our "boundaries."
I'd suspect there are people who saw the movie and were completely repulsed that Mia and Vince shared the "same straw" in her milkshake!

DI, I bet a lot of cats in this forum order burgers and steaks rare to very rare, hence, "bloody as Hell"!
I'm not one of them. I like "medium."
Again, Mia grossed me out, and I mean just about everything about her from head to toe.
