With jerk bait and lipless crank bait season under way; Does anybody replace the hook split ring with braid?
Supposedly keeps fish from throwing the bait as easily. All hooks? or just the back hook? Does it work? Issues?

Yes it works. I do it on most of my swimbaits. Just make sure your knot is perfect and you don't make them too big so that the trebles snag each other.
Less gritchin', more fishin'

It's a PIA to do but it does seem to help.

If you go down to Lake Okeechobee you won't see a trap tied on that doesn't have the hooks tied on with braid. That is the first time I had ever seen it done. I very rarely do it personally because I don't seem to lose many fish on a trap, but I rarely get to fish much grass. If I fished thick grass much I would probably do it more.
