Looking for ideas on how you guys keep your soft plastics sorted and stored. I have several of the Book Worm binders but there is no rhyme or reason to it. Thank you

This comes up often...
I still have not found a solution I really like.
Thinking about just loading fewer bags in the boat

Ziploc Bags, Shoe Bags, Clear File Boxes, 6th Sense bags, etc.

On the Clear File boxes, I can see them, but I can also label them.

These are my favorite for overflow plastics (I really need to reorganize again, though):

Medium Sterilite Clip Box

one gallon ziplock bags with the little white space you can write on in the corner. I write Senko, flip, bevers or however you want to organize them. Works great!

I have done the 3700 boxes and that was ok but I started to move towards 1 gallon zip lock bags. I think I'm going to change to speed bags or the flambeau boxes for storing plastics in their bag

For ones that I use often and have out of the bag are in Plano 3700 boxes. Others I just leave in the package they came in and put them either in plastic containers from Walmart or in soft side bags.

I just wish they'd make a tackle storage system that would allow you to store soft plastics in their original packages. Right now most of the Strike King stuff I have is in the original packaging but laying loose in the tackle storage in my boat because of the way it's packaged. I assume their plastics have to be stored separated piece by piece to keep them from sticking together?

They do.

That would be a plastic container with a lid from Walmart or a soft side zippered bag. Then you put those containers in your tackle storage places in the boat.

I've tried so many different ways to organize all my tackle. Ziplocks, Tupperware, empty ham packages, Plano 3700 etc. I can't decide what I like best, except just keep it simple. When I organize I go to far and I end up loading my boat with way too much tackle and I can't find what I'm looking for. Now, most of my baits, gear, etc are in my shop and I've simplified what I keep on the boat. I find it easier for me to stay with a few basic colors and not take 500 lbs of plastics and 200 crankbaits. The old "KISS" method. I've been donating extra baits to young anglers just getting started and it's a relief to not have too much gear, especially on the boat. Just my 2 cents

Watched a Ott video a couple few years ago. He was using binder rings. Usually group a few packs by type and color on a single ring, and put them in their section of the boat. Makes it easy to keep together and pick out a ring and grab your bait.

Keep baits in manufacturers package and store them in these containers. Separate by style and color.

I don't use the lids. $6.38 each at Wal Mart.
