Anyone ever done it? If you ever get down to Miami area, you should give it a shot. Biscayne Bay has some of the biggest bone fish in the world. Found this video of a friend (Ulysses Rodriguez) who guides down there. Met him on the water 18 years ago while we were both kayak fishing. Ran into him a few times on the water over the years and frequented a website that he used to post on before he became a well respected flats guide. He is a winner in my book... guides Flamingo, Everglades too.

Will be back down that way trying again myself, this summer.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Got a few Hawaii. After days of casting at literally hundreds with no luck, an old timer local I guess started feeling sorry for me and gave me one of his secret weapons; a gold thin wire hook with frayed palm fronds wrapped around it.
He watched me struggle for days until he could sense my frustration. No experience with them in Florida, but they were quite fickle on O'ahu.

If you think you're the smartest man in the room, you're not. If you know you're the smartest man in the room, find a different room.

Anchored my boat in about two feet of water at Isla Tortuga, off the Venezuelan coast. Off the stern it dropped to about twenty feet. I fished for Bonefish off the bow, and Spanny Macs(Ceros, actually) off the stern! Caught a few of each, but wish I had been a better angler, with the right gear. I was concentrating on catching lobsters. IslandJim
