Went out to Stillhouse Hollow for a sonar training class with guide Bob Maindelle of Holding the Line Guide Service. VERY informative, very nice guy, I would recommend him to anyone. After the class, took the afternoon to see if I could apply what I learned from him to use sonar/electronics to find/catch fish. I did find and catch a few, and did run aground on a shallow shoal but luckily, didn't damage my boat!

So let me get this straight. You paid for a lesson in sonar then ran aground using it?
Edit: Just razzing you a bit.

May need to invest in a forward looking sonar! Lol. $hit happens, I know some of the roadbeds on Granger have got a few boats when the lake is down a few feet.

I know exactly where that long point comes out. Caught many a fish around it.
