I am going to finally start throwing one this year. Tell me about your favorite retrieve and trailers.

I throw a swim jig a lot. I like to use a paddle tail and a zoom z craw jr for trailers. Sometimes I reel it straight in sometimes I hop it as I retrieve and sometimes I shake it. Great bait to get bites. You can fish it in any depth and retrieve you want.

6th Sense Divine Finesse Swim Jig w/ Keitech or Xcite paddle tail trailer

2 methods:
Summer chunk and wind and bounce that sucker off everything
Winter / Fall slow roll and pump every few twists of the reel

1/2 oz white with white Netbait Paca Chunk. Throw it out & reel it in.

No wrong way to retrieve a swim jig, IMO. slow, medium or fast straight retrieves, stop and go, pause, ripping it, stroking it Just keep changing it up until you get a bite or two.

I like a white-ish or black-ish colored jig with either a small paddle tail or craw type trailer. The hammer craw is one of my favs on a swing jig.

A craw type trailer like a speed craw or z craw will help the bait lift. I use swimbaits, craws, and grubs. About one of the most versatile baits out there. I pretty much use two color types. Whites for shad imitations and green pumpkins for bluegill imitation

His and Hers! Lol.

Santone swimjig with a Mister Twister 4” grub. Twitch it all the way in. Seems the more erratic it is it gets bit. We throw it all the time on Fork. It has replaced the chatterbait in our boat believe it or not.

3/8-1/2" white strike king or booyah with a net bait paca chunk. I dip the tips of the chunk in chartreuse dip n glo. If I don;t I cannot catch fish, at least that is my superstition.

3/8 swim jig with strike king menace, or grub with the tail down.swim bait or net paca work well also. Use a baitcaster with a fast gear ratio as sometimes the bites are so fast your will have a hard time catching up to the fish. For some reason a lot of the strikes come from straight behind the bait. Green pumpkin l, black blue , or white all work well. If you’re not having a fish follow it they’re probably not interested. If Bass are following it and not hitting it you got the wrong color. Throw it in the same location to throw spinner baits or chatter baits.

Santone 3/8 White with a Zoom Chunk trailer and a 3/8 Green Pumpkin with a Jawtec Wacky Craw are the two Swim Jigs I use for Swimming, pitching and Flipping.
