Just wanted to pass this info along again as I try to do each year. Starting March 1st - Nov. 1st., the city charges a $10 entry fee on the weekends. This is ONLY for out-of-town'ers. Residents of Texas City will get on FREE. The City will issue a resident a certain sticker to place on their windshield to get on FREE. If you have never been to the Dike, the only bait camp there is Boyd's One Stop. They have all your fishing needs, bait, and food. NO BOOZE is sold there. Boyd's also has a Grill next to the store. Some good eat'in there I must say. As you cross the Levy to get onto the Dike, you'll see a bunch of road cones. Over the hill you see a guard shake type building. That's where they collect the fee. IF you get there very early in the morning, you may be lucky enough to get on free bc the "shack" hasn't opened yet. Adhere to all warning signs regarding waders and swimmers.
