Maybe in the market for a new boat. Pros and cons of a new triton 20-21’ boat? Fit and finish? Warranty issues? Etc

Fit and finish - they look beautiful to me. You’ll get all the JM haters chiming in, but bottom line the new Rangers and Tritons are nicer than they ever have been.

I believe the new Tritons are the best they have been since Earl owned the company, JM is moving in the right direction with Ranger and Triton, just wish they still built a 22’ boat

If you have the need for speed, like a boat that is laid out very well, one that fishes very well, rides very well, one that looks very well, you will like a Triton Boat, I have had several. I did jump over to Caymas because i really like Earl Bentz, the Caymas is another Triton with a few minor changes.

I have a 2021 20TRX Patriot Elite. Went with this 20' 5" boat instead of the longer 21TRX for several reasons. Biggest being that I would need to rebuild the boat house to fit the bigger boat.
Love it. Good layout. Very stable. Heavy but handles well. Make sure you have a really experienced rigger do all the electronics, bells and whistles. Consider what you will want in the way of electronics and how they will mount / locate and the fit. (Some new models from other makers accommodate a 16" indash now, some don't. Some consoles have gauge layouts that will get covered up if you go with dual 12s mounted in front of the wheel. etc.)
Triton has a new 21XrT this year that I have not seen in person but from their website, I don't think I would care fore.
My Merc 250 pushes it in the low 70s fully loaded with gear but only me in it. Had only owned Stratos boats previously. Had been a long time since I'd bought a new boat. Those light pad boats were really fast with less HP but the new Triton scoots pretty well.
Other than fish finder stuff, didn't need to add too many extras. Lots of standard features. Two power poles instead of one. (pretty goofy that it comes with one.) Anchor / Stern light on power pole. Power pole 4x charger. (3 lithiums for TM, 1 house battery for all electronics) Second charger for the AGM cranking battery.

Rode in a new 21 for a day on Lake Champlain this last August. 10-15 mph winds so didn't really get to run wide open. Easily 5-6ft rollers. Plenty solid boat, would not be afraid to buy one. We got slammed pretty good coming off some waves, no rattles, solid!

Dunno about the new ones, but my dad grabbed a 1997 Triton after he heard Earl had created it, and it's been a great boat for us for 25 years. Caught a lot of big fish in that thing.

They have the new ones at Bass Pro in Grapevine. I think they look fantastic. Great layout.
