Never used a Steez but the Zillion is my nicest baitcaster.
I like both better than my Metanium. The Steeze is impressive but the Metanium feels better in my hands.

I have a zillion that I got used, been a good reel so far. It has aftermarket bearings.
I really like the Tatula SV at the price point, I have 2 of them, they are fantastic to pitch and skip with. The SV is worth it to try at the price IMO

I have couple of Zillions. No complaints. Have several Tatula reels. Can’t honestly say the Zillion outperforms the Tatula. Will never know about a Steez because I am just not going to pay that kind of money for a reel. Quit using Shimano after the Curado G series. Just a disappointing product from Shimano. I’m sure they probably got back on track but have not gone back since switching to Daiwa.

I seem to remember that the Steez and Zillion both came out around the same time. I should not comment on new reels since all of my stuff is older, ten years and more.
Clean them, take care of them and they last.

Clean them, take care of them and they last. Likewise, I have never used an older Zillion. The ones I ordered were the t-wing design. They just left me with lighter pockets and buyers remorse. The Steez reels I have are not 103’s I was wrong. I looked at them today. They are X100H models. Left handed. 6.3:1 reels. They are very light and fit my huge hands better than the new 50 sized reels.

Too bad. You could try a Shimano Chronarch and you’d really like it. About the same price as a Zillion, but a much better reel. Both are good reels but it is NOT better than the Zillion. MacQueen is just bias towards shimano reels. Thats all. Some people like Shimano better, some like Daiwa better its just personal preference but to say the Chronarch is much better than the Zillion is just false information. I think it is funny to have a screen name of "Steez"MacQueen ,,Steez being the name of a Daiwa reel and then bad mouth all the other reels Daiwa makes. You would think his screen name would be "Chronarch"MacQueen or ShimaoMacQueen.

You would think his screen name would be "Chronarch"MacQueen or ShimaoMacQueen. Steez (style with ease). They named their reel after me. It’s really that simple. I am not biased towards one brand or the other. My favorite reel is the ones that ALWAYS work, and I don’t even notice them after a couple casts. I never have to adjust the brakes. They are on zero. The reels disappear in my hands and telegraph the line “feel” through the extremely rigid body and 13 bearings that support every moving part. No slop, no side play in the handle(zero), exterior finish is the most durable of any reel I have ever owned, easy to service….Steez. When I’m NOT using the Steez reels, I have to make conscious decisions on braking, spool tension, while trying to make a precision cast. That is why I prefer the Steez. It’s the easiest to use reel for me. Second is the 5yr old Lews Team Lews Pro reels. They do have some slop in the handles because the key hole in the handles wear after lots of use. The Shimano reels are just a great budget reel. No Anteres, Bantams, or Metaniums for me. Only heavily modded Chronarchs, and Curado DCs(bearings ported spools, and carbon fiber handles). And a few Stradic fixed spool reels for my fairy wands.
