If you were going to book 10 guide trips at Fork just to get a day in the boat with some great guides, regardless of catches, who would be the top 10?
This is for the experiences, catching is great too, but mostly for the enjoyment of a day on the water with top notch guides.
A mix of old and new.

Wish I would have fished with Mark Pack….never did it.
Lee Livesay was by far the most enjoyable to fish with on Fork.

Sounds like 4 days with the Goat would be better. If you're trying to hang out and have a great time at least you can see how the goat out fished everyone in texas in a year? Seems like you'll see more than an 8 lber as well?

Only been out with a few, but by far my most enjoyable day on the water was with Jason Hoffman. Mark Pack comes in a close second then newish guide Byron Chavez… he’s the real deal and going to be very successful out there. I’d just be guessing if I put any other names out there.

All just so I could listen to good ol' days stories about true giants from the lake when it was great

I don't know if he was ever a guide and I can't remember his last name but his first name was Jesse and he also knew a thing or two about giants on Fork. He'd be on my list too

You gotta put up with some griping and he isn't a guide but Ed Blackburn could also show you a few things about that lake and show you some spots where he caught some true giants. One of the 13 pounders he caught is on a camcorder 8mm video.

Also if we can extend to Pines, the very best and least known guide there is a guy named Dug Rutland. He is still catching giants out there weekly.
