I believe it is a pigfish (Orthopristis chrysoptera).

I believe it is a pigfish (Orthopristis chrysoptera). He has a very good chance of being right!  Side Note:  to the TFF!

Osbornfishing looks to be spot on. After looking at images, I agree with it being a pigfish for sure.

We always called them piggy perch.
