Lots of jugs left abandoned on all our fisheries here in Texas. Really unsightly seeing all them trashing out our lakes. I encourage juggers to keep an eye on your equipment as big fish are swimming off with your jugs and getting hung up in shallow structure, leaving the fish to die and leaving the jug as a floating piece of trash sometimes for years. If you care about the fisheries your on and you care about these fish then keep an eye on your equipment and the problem is solved. If you don’t care and keep leaving your jugs unattended then just know that the guys that are tired of seeing all the abandoned jugs floating are going to eventually get organized and put forth a consorted effort to get the regulations changed. Change is coming in the catfish world and we need to all do our part to keep our fisheries clean and protect the resources we love.

Amen Chris, just be responsible. Whether you're fishing with jugs or rod and reel or whatever. Be responsible, and be conservation focused. Take care of what we have so it will be there for future generations. Take care of the fish, take care of the water. Pick up your garbage. If you see trash floating on the water pick it up. If you snag on a mess of line and tackle, throw it away, don't throw it back. If we all do our part, we can continue to enjoy the priceless resource we have. And so will our children and grandchildren...

We picked up a plastic Kroger bag that was floating in your lake last Sunday Tim. We always stop when we see something like that in the water. I also ask Jaxon to pick up a piece of trash at the boat ramp every time we are leaving. Its a good habit to get into and it helps my son to understand the importance of protecting what you love.

Hate seeing trash floating in the lakes. I agree that it's much better to keep your gear on view. I love eating cats and have several fish fries a year. Would love to see folks turn the big breeders lose but understand it's their right to keep legal fish. Just imagine how many toad fish we would have running around for everyone to catch and enjoy if we turned the big ones back!!!!! Woul love to see a slot like they do on bullreds for big cats.

One thing I want to point out about your video is the color of your Jug or noodle in this case.
In Texas its illegal to have orange jugs, unless your a commercial fisherman.

I've been running jugs a few times a year all my life and have to concur with the above post about all the old jugs as well as the trashed throw lines in the waters. People if your gonna get out and fish of any type just take in your lines when your done and pick up your darn trash. It's really not that hard and when you don't it gives everyone else a bad name. I was taught to be respectful of the lake, fish and people when I was a young lad...

Good point. We're pretty careful with our own trash, and we pick up a lot of other people's also.
