You’ll notice my gain setting between 70 and 75. With the old software it was between 48 and 60 depending on conditions. The new color limit setting was between 50 and 60 (any higher and it would look like the competition), TVG off, noise reduction medium, ghost rejection off and color gain 65 to 75. The update helped for sure for those that are hesitant 😬. It even makes the yellow palette way better. It doesn’t work on the blue palette for some reason though? The blue still works fine you just can’t adjust like the other palettes. Hope this helps cheers.

This one here you can watch my DROP SHOT (for MudShark if you watch grin) at about 40’ going to the bottom (4” robo worm, 1/4 ounce sinker). You can see at the furthest tree where I’ll hook a 3 1/2# spotted bass and bring it up through the tree. Then you can see the release and watch it swim back to the bottom where I hooked it.

Did you update with a card or Active Captain? I’ve always used a card, but did mine through the app last night. I’ve heard a few horror stories in the past about updates not installing correctly with the app.

I don’t own a computer (other than my smart phone) peep.
Everything via AC since I started using Garmin over a year and a half ago. It’s been flawless for me and I’m very much technologically challenged hammer.

I updated mine Saturday and I appreciate the tips above. Before the update, I was dialed in, but this weekend, it was pretty tough. I'll try your settings.

What position do you have your LiveScope in? 1 click down or is the top flat to the surface of the water?

Mine is on a separate mount mounted to my Ultrex. It’s on the starboard side and the back side of the transducer is two clicks down.

Edit: I too updated my units on Saturday and then went to the lake Sunday and all my livescope settings were at 100%. So I had to go in and readjust everything.
