School me on these rods. Thinking of replacing my current rods with the 8 ft spinning rods.

I sat on the fence for about a year or so before I pulled the trigger on one.myself, after buying one (1) I now have 6 most of them are 10 footers.
Just saying. I truly believe they are top notch crappie rods. I have two g rods that I thought were going to be the cats meow NOT. Boneheads are really good but I think I have now discover the rod I will use everyday from here on out. ACC for this guy

Thanks ranger. Iโ€™m looking at the 8ft rods for fishing minnows? Would you go with 8ft or 10ft for that type of fishing?

I am the type of person that sneeks up on them, so I tend to fish with 10 footers year round. Anything longer then that I don't care for. Anything shorter I think it cuts down on the range. If you are a bridge fisherman then 10 footer is a little challenging. I don't fish bridges and strictly a Livescoper

I really like my ACC rods, primarily run the 10โ€™ but do have a couple of 8โ€™. Havenโ€™t tried a Bonehead. I just like the backbone and price of the ACC.

I just bought 2 of the 8 footers. Can't wait to get them on the water. With a Lews 1000 with braid the rod and reel weigh 8 ounces !

I have a one piece 5โ€™6โ€ for dock shooting a 7โ€™6โ€ for bridges both are one piece. I have a new 12โ€™ that I plan to use for livescope. I have had it out a couple of times and the longer rod will need some practice to get used to. I like one piece rods so I have not tried the 8. I think you will like thrm

I have several in various lengths. My go to for quite some time was a 10 footer....good all-around length IMO. However I recently got the 13 foot Crossover and I love that dang thing. The extra reach improves my boat control as I dont have to be so precise with the trolling motor while jigging structure. I can spot-lock further away from it and when the TM "wanders" a little its not such a big deal. I also hooked into a few whites this past weekend that were a little over 2 lbs and boat flipped them without hesitation.

Oh, I also recommend the Super Grip models. Much more comfortable than the cork handles.

I have 8, 10,11,12 fters. Like them all. Light, sensitive, and good backbone. A few people who have broken one, say customer service is top notch. Replacements come quickly with no questions.
