Hello Guys,

Where can I buy some minnows on Ray Roberts? Any Gas stations? I've fished the lake quite a times now on jigs but i would like to get some minnows.No clue where to get them on shore. Lake Lewisville is my home lake but I need some bait pointers for Ray Rob.

The sportsman gas station in Sanger on 455 near 35 is gonna be your best price. The dam store on 455 on the west side of the dam has minnows, as does the Ray Roberts Marina.

Come on boys I aint no rookie, Im just on a new lake. Is buying bait really this tough on this lake? I know theres some shiners somewhere on this mofo up north

Shiwakoti Grcceries is a gas station as you go out to Jordan Park and Jerry Beverage on 377 both sell minnows by the dozen, 1/2 pound and by the pound. There is another gas station that is on 377 just north of Liberty street. I think it Egar's but they only sell by the dozen

There is a Shell station off of 35 and Lone Oak Rd that sells them too

Evan's Stop N Go, 110 US-377, Pilot Point, TX 76258 is now VP Racing Fuels but unknown if they sell live bait.

Several east side of lake along 377 in Pilot Point and Tioga......all the Valero's have them.

I just catch mine these days. A 1/4” mesh cast net is your friend, any creek or boat ramp should have plenty of minnows. The going rate is $3-$4 a dozen or $22-24/lb if you can even find them by the lb. I’d go broke buying bait because I’ll usually use about a lb in a fishing trip. Fresh caught wild bait is also a lot better than a store bought minnow, you’d be amazed how much of a difference it makes.

Jerry's on the way to Buck creek is where I usually stop but I don't think they open until 7am or so.

Sportsman, and The Dam Store. The Dam store also has Black Salties, and Bluegil. Bluegill are pretty pricey though, at 5.00 a copy.
