Looking for a pair of gloves to fish in, in the winter. Can anyone tell me what gloves they suggest that keeps their hands warm but not a problem casting etc. Thank you.

In my experience, I can't fish with any gloves that keep my hands warm. I wear cotton liner gloves with that sticky pattern on the palms. They prevent my hands from freezing but are not warm. I can't use a bait caster with a pair of heavy winter gloves.

Tried all kinds of gloves the 20 plus years I was guiding. Wound up using fingerless ragg wool. Hands stayed fairly warm and had the dexterity to do what was needed.

Yeah, fingerless wool has been the best bet for me as well. Not super warm but warm enough on most days.

Glacier Gloves is what I normally use paddling... they make a fingerless. My hands are always wet and carry a mitten type that I can stick my hands in with chemical warmers to warm up and then change back to the fingerless. Looking at the ones below to warm up instead of mittens and warmers. https://www.sealskinzusa.com/produc...MpPbU9QIVSi1MCh0PHAQQEAQYAiABEgK5GPD_BwE

+1 on the Glacier Gloves. Get the fingerless “flip-back” version. They have a mitten top that covers the fingers when fingers ain’t needed…like moving spot to spot. Then the mitten flips back onto the back of the hand and exposes the fingers and the thumb part flips back too, allowing spool control on baitcasters. I usually just cut the mitten part off, since it gets in my way

Hatch NS430 Specialist shooting gloves. You can fish all day with them and they will never get in the way. They may not keep your hands warm in 20 degree temps, but they do a darned good job in 32 degrees. Around $20/pair. You can thank me later.

I also here guys who recommend winter golf gloves as a good combination of both warmth and ability to be sensitive enough for fishing.

Fingerless ragg wool or military wool w/ fingers cut off. Used those in Alaska for many years. On really cold days, slip a chemical warmer pack into the palm side. It'll help warm the blood as it moves towards your fingers. I tried the neoprene gloves and the surgical gloves but the trapped moisture from your hands just makes the cold worse.
