These two guys won a Crappie Masters tournament last weekend from a jon boat and fishing cane-pole style. Kind of a fun read. Low tech winners

Interesting read. I've fished two BASS events on the St Johns and I can see why they chose to fish that way. It's an amazing looking place.

Livescope doesn't shoot through dollar pads and grass!!  Pretty awesome deal! Maybe more folks will be motivated by their win to come fish tourneys!

Reminds me of the story Wally told about first getting started. He and Joel won their first tournament while bank fishing in the cold at Cedar Creek.
It was a hoot to listen to.
Wally was wading and started slamming the crappie around cattails where the grey water from someone’s washing machine was flowing into the lake.
Oh yeah, they stopped and drove off to get a cheeseburger for lunch. LOL.
They put their 20 fish in a garbage bag and proceeded to the weigh in.
After polygraph tests were given they were declared winners.
Wally would go on to win 7 more tournaments while bank fishing till he finally got a boat.
