I am working on purchasing a brand new Xi5. I already run 2 Lowrance HDS Gen3 that are linked for my electronics. My question is do I have to buy the quick release bracket, I will never be taking this motor on and off my boat? Also do I need to purchase the Gateway Kit?

Quick release bracket isn't needed. If you want to link it to your graphs then you will need the gateway kit and a NMEA2000 kit as well.
