At least 100 live primates arrived at Kennedy Airport from Mauritius in the early morning hours of Jan. 21, NBC News reported. The monkeys, which were packed inside crates, were then loaded onto a trailer to be hauled to a CDC-approved quarantine laboratory.

Outbreak is a great movie.
I thought about it often when the Ebola scare started a few years ago. Especially since my wife works on the same hospital campus where the patients were.

My hunting buddy swears he was driving down one of the lease roads here in E. Tx with his sone and a long tailed monkey ran across the road right in front of their truck.

Who remembers stories of the open monkey season in South Texas after the research center outside of San Antonio went broke and let loose all their monkeys? Couple years ago I sold a s Tx hunting guide a truck. We had time to kill and he was a real funny guy. Somehow we got on the subject about those monkeys. He went and got hi iPad and showed me pics on his trail cam that some of these monkeys are thriving, or surviving or whatever.
