Are there whites running yet south of the Hwy. 59 bridge?

Watching this post for information on White Bass in the Three Rivers / George West area. Anyone heard any action at Airport ramp, Hyw 59 ramp or 99 Bridge ramp. Might try to go this week ahead of the front to see what it's like but would like some info if anyone knows what the run is doing.

The white bass runs have not yet started at Choke (Hwy 99) or in George West (Hwy 59.) It just depends what this weather is going to do. If we start to get rains in February which will make the rivers run a little, then the fish will come up to spawn. Its been so dry that I believe the runs will begin in mid to late February with some warm, calmer days. Maybe even the beginning of March (with no rain.)

Thanks for the info. I just plugged in the boat to charge the battery to head out tomorrow. I think now I'll put the trip off for a month or so.

I have been hearing some reports of white bass being caught up Hwy 99 at Choke Canyon as well as several fisherman catching whites on the Nueces in George West. A good time would be this coming Tuesday and Wednesday when the weather calms back down after this weekends cold front plus the full moon is at this time. Fishing will be getting better as the weather begins to warm. Lets go fishing!!!

A cousin of mine caught a nice limit of white bass above Hwy 99 bridge this morning. The spawn looks to be going on!

Holy Moly, Nice Catch!

We were fishing below the 59 bridge yesterday, I caught 2. Fishing partner caught 1 . Checking with other boats, everyone had about the same story.

I went this morning and caught 1. There were about 15 trailers in the parking lot when I left around 10:30. I did not see any fish being pulled out from other boats.
