A buddy caught this white bass while we were fishing on EM Sunday (01/16/22). The fish was caught by the wedged slab in its mouth rather than the hook. White bass are savages. ![[Linked Image]](https://springtownpages.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/IMG_2558.jpg)

Good to see others removing the treble hook and replacing with single . Using a single hook makes a huge difference in ease of getting the hook out and doesn't seem hurt the catch ratio. My friend bends down the barb too. Makes it really easy to remove the hook and I don't think we lose more fish. It seems to do less damage to the fishs' mouths.

Don't keep many fish for the table, been known to ketch a bunch just want to ensure the future. The group I fish with here in W'ford has a rule whereby catch two rat stripes, time to move.
