So, how does our lake fish down 6 1/2'? It has been about 7 years since the last time we dealt with low water and actually for the boaters not to bad. For the co-anglers it was NOT to GOOD.
Light winds and modest temps for mid-January. Actually, got up to almost 70.
All fish 10" and up are keepers. Only the best 5 count.
Boaters
First Place went to Tim Gold of Mineola with 5 bass for 16.10 LB with 4.78 LB boater lunker.
Second Place went to Dennis Bubinas of Lake Fork with 5 bass for 9.17 with a 2.49 lunker.
Third Place went to Bill Ailes of Sulphur Springs 4 bass for 7.39 LB. with a 2.61 LB lunker
Fourth Place went to Frank West of Alba of 5 bass for 7.37 LB. with a 2.88 LB lunker
Fifth Place went to Curt Blount of Lake Fork with 4 bass for 5.37 LB with a 2.13 LB lunker
Co-Anglers
First Place went to Alf Tuggle of Scroggins with 2 bass for 3.08 LB. with the co-angler lunker of 1.63 tie LB.
Second Place went to Tom Whitrock of Lake Fork with 1 bass for 1.63 LB. tie for lunker.
Third Place went to Jimmie Bright of Frisco with 1 bass for 1.21 LB.
Fourth Place went to Rudy Hall of Mineola with 1 bass for 0.87 LB.
Fifth Place tie went to the 6 other co-anglers who'd zeroed.
We caught 32 keepers today with seven anglers skunking again.. With resurgence of the virus we are going back to stricter protocols and even have a couple members out both ill, in recovery and hiberating..
The LFA fishes every Thursday except T-Day and Christmas on 2 different formats. A 5 fish limit we call LFA and a MLF style format where every fish counts, we call Hard Core, 3 special tournaments and an end of year dinner. We are a club of 52+ seniors (Mostly) and are very liberal on members being for off vacations and medical issues. Even though we are practicing social distancing and wearing masks, we have about 8 sitting out from Covid exposure (down from 20),
