Didn’t think I’d see such a thing such as this all the way up here in Delaware but here we are! These fish were feeding ferociously in these pads. Less than 3’ of water but it seemed the more & better fish were in the shallow water with even more pads and weeds. I guess they’ll stay there until they have no other choice! Y’all stay safe, stay warm & stay blessed!

Yes indeed, Chuck! We appreciate the kind words and support. It’s crazy that these fish keep on biting even when it gets brutally cold!

Beautiful water...I would have thought that the pads would have frozen all the way back by now that far north. Nice variety, with some pretty big gils towards the end of the video.

I would have thought the same thing, Vogey. Apparently, depending on how sever the winter is, some groups of pads and weeds stay alive and green all year long up here. And the warmer days gets those invertebrates hatching and moving off that soft bottom of the pad fields whether the pads are alive or not. We just happened to find the right place at the right time.

I definitely know what I’m gonna do next on that lake! I can’t believe we had hatches like that in cold water. Never underestimate the hunger and hardiness of panfish!
