I bought the lowrance version right after tourney season last year. After using it for a few months I can tell you it’s not for me. I enjoy it for crappie fishing but for bass, other than chasing schoolers I just don’t fish in a way that it will help me much even though I fish deep 90% of the time. It does piss me off that it’s now necessary and people like me that have spent their whole life learning and patterning fish can be quickly beat by a guy who’s been fishing a year who’s good at scope. It is what it is though and I’m very confident that fish will get accustomed to people chasing them and they just won’t bite anymore. Remember back in the day how many tournies were won by some old boy throwing a spinner all day! It just doesn’t happen anymore. Fish get accustomed to them and they will the scope too.

People can justify it all they want, but it’s not real fishing.
