Well dang…the whole dang family has it. I guess it was just our turn. So far, we all just feel more like we have colds, a little flu-y.

I've been in Walmart a few times in the last week or so... the place was packed every time, more people coughing than I've ever heard before. Very few wearing masks. If I haven't gotten it by now, I must have already had it. Covid is over in my mind.

Nothing more than a common cold, I don't get shots for that

I am 75, overweight, diabetic with asthma.

Pretty sure I had it for the 3rd time starting Christmas morning. Felt like the Flu Sunday all day but no fever. Sore throat and other cold symptoms every since.

All the olds in my wife's family had the same thing. They all have been vaxxed. I'm not. They are old and not great health so it makes sense for them to be vaxxed. We all had the same symptoms.

Vaccination and a booster won't necessarily keep anyone from contracting the virus. The evidence is pretty strong that they will decrease the severity of symptoms. I think that's important for senior citizens, especially those with other serious health issues. Healthy kids, college students, 35-40 year olds, and athletes? Omicron probably shouldn't be much of a concern for them.

200M+ people have been fully vaccinated. Tens of millions more have at least one dose. Likely 100M+ have had COVID. That means 300M+ out of 320M in this country have at least some vaccine induced or natural immunity. Neither keep you from getting Omicron, but they do give your body a fighting chance. Omicron has a R0 value of 8-10, its' about as contagious as measles. There's very likely somewhere between 15-30M active cases in the US right now. Do the math on that. If you haven't been exposed you probably will in the VERY near future. The good news is with everyone having some level of immunity and Omicron being less sever in general, this might actually help us move to this being just another seasonal virus we all get every year and generally do just fine with.

Perhaps 825k people died with COVID but a tiny percentage of them died from COVID. I believe a good percentage died from treatment induced fatality.

This pandemic of the Wuhan virus is manmade.

The omicron variant is a God-sent solution.

The man-made vaccines don't work.

The hospitals will kill you.

Take the total number of covid deaths reported by the federal government and take 8% of that number. That is the approximate number of deaths FROM the covid virus. My source for that is the CDC.

Please provide the link to the CDC source you are misquoting here. It's not 8%. That's nonsense.

Just about every person on here knows someone who has died of COVID. We all know a bunch of forum members on here that died of COVID. Are you suggesting Skeeter and Donnie didn't actually die of COVID? Those 50 year old guys just died on vents and happened to do so with COVID? BS.

Nobody dies from COVID in the same way nobody dies from cancer. You do realize that right? NOBODY dies of cancer. They die of organ failure caused by cancer. So yes, nobody dies of COVID, they die of various organ failure caused by COVID. The question is would they have died when they died if they did not have COVID? The answer is, no they wouldn't have died when they died if they didn't have COVID. Hence we count them as a COVID death. Let's also not forget the outcome is not binary here. We have other forum members who caught COVID, survived, and are still walking around with O2 tanks.

I don't know how many have died from COVID exactly. I don't know if it's 850K, or 700K, or 1M. But it's way more than the 80K you are pretending.

The truth is COVID has killed a bunch of people, but it is also true it doesn't kill most people. These truths are not mutually exclusive.
