buy one moto so that the rest of us get to read about your adventures on the water, pics will be mandatory as well. oh, the other reason, those wake boats have v8 engines that can be "modified", hint, hint.

I went on a hunting trip last year with my regional manager and some of his friends. One of the guys is a boat broker specializing in Mastercraft and other luxury boats that are commonly found on Lake of the Ozarks. During conversation I asked what type of boat he had. He said oh I rent one whenever the family wants to go out. They rent a boat once/twice a month during boating season and come out way ahead.
Take that for what is worth, but in his words “I sell dreams not reality”

My advice would be to at least rent one first to be sure it is something you like enough to make the large purchase worthwhile. You are already heavily involved with the racing which is super time consuming and substantial financial investment. It is not cheap to rent but if you only use it a few times per year overall still more cost effective.

1. Because Mastercrafts cost something like $100k, that’s reason enough not too buy one.
2. You’ll be one of those mother “bleepers” that all fishermen cuss.
3. Now if you want a bass boat, you’re a cool mofo! Go buy that sucker… I think most Mastercrafts are 150k plus now, I'm talking old fellas. Like Betty White old. $15k max.

I've got the boating itch again, gents. Talk me out of it.
Pros:
Get to look at Mrs. Motos fake "assets" in a bikini. On the lake. With beer
Y'know, I typically avoid commenting on TFFers wives or other female family members. But this is an exception. Mrs Moto in a bikini is absolutely a good reason to get a boat!! My man.

I wouldn't, unless you get to use it regular. Most of my toys become sources of frustration between lack of oportunities to enjoy and maintenance/repairs.

Does Mrs. Moto like boating? Follow up question - what weekend is she free to go out on my boat when it warms up but you are busy?  In all seriousness, you either need to have the expendable income that you don't care what it costs or plan to use it all the time to make it worth the expense.
