The parking lot outside of Lake Park @ Lewisville has a pile of 'em free for the taking also. The City will probably mulch them next week sometime..

So I just called a Game Warden and asked if it was legal to sink brush piles. He said I'd have to call the core and ask them. So I did. The core said it's illegal to sink brush piles. I asked what happens if you get caught? They said they can call the sheriff. I said ok what will he do about it? They said he can give you a citation. I said Ok, what kind of citation? They said a federal one, it doesn't matter, just don't do it!! lol ... So what's the deal... I know people sink brush in core lakes all the time.. All those brush piles in the middle of the lake didn't magically appear.. So has anyone had a problem or got in trouble for sinking brush in core lakes?

I am glad my lake is not a Corp of Engineer lake. We were stopped with by the game warden on a routine water safety check. The boat was brushed out to
the max. The Warden asked what we were going to do with it . We said create fish habitat. Warden said good on you .
