The problem is the Dunlap Dam broke destroying a lot of the habitat for big sunfish. If you have a boat I would suggest Meadow Lake below Seguine. Spring, summer, and fall are the best times. Onion Creek, Lady Bird Lake, and Lake Austin also have nice populations of nice Redear. IGFA World Record Rio Grande Cichlid. Lake Dunlap. John 3:16 Sinner's Prayer. God forgive me a sinner.
