I would like to get on some good redears in the San Antonio area...either from boat or bank. Anyone have any tips on where/how I could catch a few?

Lake Dunlap was loaded with big Redear. The problem is the Dunlap Dam broke destroying a lot of the habitat for big sunfish. If you have a boat I would suggest Meadow Lake below Seguine. Spring, summer, and fall are the best times. Onion Creek, Lady Bird Lake, and Lake Austin also have nice populations of nice Redear.

Biggest of the sunfish. Canyon Lake, and some running hill country creeks are good places to look.
