Field tested a 10 foot Mr Crappie Slab Shaker with a 1/16 oz jig under a slip cork. I enjoyed shaking a few slabs from the neighbors pond. Christmas Eve crappie.

I've tried the Mr Crappie rods, and they all seem too limber for me.

Throwing a mini spinner bait with a slabalicious grub tail on 20lb braid. Got a few bass and a nice slab crappie from the local neighborhood lake. [Linked Image]

I’m a big fan of the sickle hook style jig heads and slabalicious grubs. Those paddle tails wiggle and jiggle and get bit. My normal jig fishing methods just didn’t work for me today so I tried vertical jigging around a cypress tree lay down in the river and caught crappie til the sun got low.
