I joined in 05, a friend told me about it. Think his handle on here was Bazztex I remember Basstex. He aways had good info. I joined TFF almost 20 years ago after I moved to Texas and was searching for information about texas lakes and other fishing forurm besides Bass Boat Central (BBC).

I think someone mentioned TFF on BBC as a place you could post normal thoughts and not trigger a petulant moonbat. TFF is great IMO.

I think I probably did a yahoo or google search for it. I spent a lot of time on here keeping me occupied while my youngest was realizing her dreams. TFF helped me keep my sanity while I was side lined for nearly two decades. I kind of drifted away from it for a while and got caught up in the FB thing but I got hacked and my account was shut down for 30 days so I'm back. I don't know that I'll ever leave again. I know this is going to sound crazy to some of you but I had forgotten how peaceful it is here when compared to social media.

Search Engine. Was using the "Bass Fishing Home Page" until it started to lose relevance and contributing members. Ended up just a few guys sniping at each other.
