I’m going to start planning our Spring event after New Years Y’all! Looking for input on what month y’all think we should hold it. Im thinking March, April, or May. Let me know y’all’s thoughts and who is interested. I have several people who have offered to sponsor some of the prizes so if you know anyone else who might be willing to either donate a prize new or used or sponsor the Jr Angler awards as well as open big fish awards then let me know. Also gauging interest in me making T-shirts for the event. Gotta start planning soon as this years event will be bigger and better!

I frankly don't care which location, but I would suggest somewhere in the Metroplex (but not RayBob as there aren't any fish in that lake)!



The earlier the better works for me, to avoid too many bass(hole) boats.

I think April would be good. Weather should be warm enough to keep the cold from being an issue for some, bite should be good by then for some eaters so we can fry fish again... I'd be in on a t-shirt for the event. That's a good idea. If we can get a good picnic shelter that would be good. I was worried about that hot grease last time, plus if we get a shelter, we don't need to worry so much about rain. Definitely get someone assigned to be the videographer (not you Chris). We need someone or maybe a couple guys taking video all day so after you can edit together a good video of the event. I will throw in $100 on prizes for the event. You can put it towards what ever you need.

March is a better chance for me to catch a big fish bu the weather can be iffy. But April and May can be rainy months, also sports are starting up for Pax around then. Sundays are harder for us to fish since we usually go to church and I don't like having Pax exhausted for school the next day. He is cranky when he is tired. HAHA

But this is your tournament so whatever you decide I will try to make it happen on our end.

That’s awesome Tim! Thanks buddy! That would be great if we could get a couple of folks to video the event but also want to get the guys on the boats to try and shoot more video too. I will livestream the event now that I’m more familiar with that too. I figured guys will be interested in the T-shirt idea and I will come up with a cool design if guys are interested.

We’re going to hold this years event at Westlake Park and the Pavilion holds up to 150 people. It’s closer to shallow water fishing that time of year.

It’s going to have to be on a Sunday Matt as that time of year is kids sports on Saturdays. I get the thing about Church too but we hold a group prayer before we push off. As far as Pax being tired that is your call but we fish all day Sundays that time of year because Jax plays sports too and he is fine the next day. I know there is no perfect time or day for everyone but I’m trying to accommodate the group as a whole. I know it’s not easy but I promise you it is worth the effort. I really hope y’all can make it!

I called my TWOK fishing buddy Henry from Midlothian, we met at your first get together Chris, and he is also game on - we may fish together.



Just a thought about Trophy's, maybe get big ones that get the winners name on them every event, the winner gets to keep it for a year, then a smaller one to keep. Happy to get that covered for the biggest fish if you decide to go that way (especially as I intend to win it!....hahahahahaha!)

I am in, and will plan on helping out with a prize or two.

Would say late March or early April. Most schools have spring break in early March, need to try and stay away from that, as I know many will travel then.

I'd like to come up, but I do know I have a tourney March 12th as of right now and it's at Brownwood, so March 13th I'll be dead from 5 hours of driving and 8 hours of fishing the day before. I love March fishing, especially when we get the spring rains...
