The same cold front that spawned all those tornadoes in KY, also blew through Huntsville on Saturday. Nothing but brief gusty winds and heavy rain. But it did drop the temperature a lot. Sunday's forecast was sunny and no wind. A perfect day for fishing, not a perfect day for catching. We searched up and down the river trying to locate hungry fish. Finally found them in a current eddy in 50 feet of water. Naturally is was also our last stop for the day. I hate it that it gets dark by 5pm. But the last spot managed a 10, a 10, and a 20. Not running all the way to G dam to catch skipjack, so cut bluegill was the only item on the menu. While running the river I spotted what I thought was the top of a drifting log. I steered the boat around it. As I passed it, I noticed it was a tackle box. Turned around and grabbed it. It was loaded with about $100 worth of ditch pickle lures. No id to determine its owner. The eye on the second fish was a injury from some incident in the past.

Boats are like Strippers. They work until you quit throwing $100 bills at them.
