Myself and fishing buddy Jeff were able to fish a pond and a local trout stocking this past week. We caught Bluegill from the pond and limited out with Rainbow Trout. I caught all of my fish on the fly using Red/Orange Lady Bugs for the sunnies and a sinking Grasshopper for the trout. Jeff was using a small Little George on the sunnies and a Gold Super Duper for the trout. A good week of fishing for sure.

Nice fish...never heard of using a grasshopper for trout...

Steve: I actually met a guy while fishing a trout stocking on the Perdernales River several years ago. He was actually using real dead Grasshoppers that he kept frozen for bait. Needless to say he limited out in just 30 minutes using the Grasshoppers.
