I know this question should be asked in the "Rods and Reels" section, but let's face it, that section doesn't get very many replies. I'm looking for a new spinning reel in the $100 range. I have it narrowed down to the Lew's Custom Speed Spin, Lew's Custom Inshore Speed Spin, and the Abu Garcia Revo X. Based off all reviews I've consumed it looks like the Revo X is the most highly praised, but the Revo X does not have the winn knob, and that is by far the most comfortable knob in the biz. If you happen to be an owner of one of the three please share your thoughts. Oh also, this reel will mainly be used as a drop shot rig if it helps.
Thanks in advance!

I use a Lew's Custom Pro Speed paired with a Dobyn's DX741 SF. It is a awesome drop shot set up. The reel is $129.99 but worth the few extra dollars.

I use an Abu Garcia Revo SX spinning reel for my drop shot rig and it gets the most use of any of my spinning reels. Its a 4000 series reel and has been a really good real.

The Revo is a good reel for that price. I found the Lews more clunky in that class of reel. I think smoothness wins out over a knob, but that's my thoughts

The knob is $15. Can you replace that part of the handle on amy reel, or is it just Lews compatible?

Your going to be hard pressed to find a better reel for the price than the Revo X. The drag is smooth, the construction is solid, and it can honestly compete with some higher end reels. Get the 30 size and don't look back!

Yep. Very good spinning reel for the price.
