Good intel . Fire ant mounds on the bottom especially when the pressure falls off the charts can put fish in the boat.

Thanks for the vid, !
your different methods of targeting crappie remind me to try different things, and not always do the horizontal drop right on top of them. often times, having the bait moving over them as if its going to get away triggers a strike where just a vertical drop does not.
fishing around brush and timber makes us shy to cast, because we dont want to hang up the jig.
If it is windy and the boat is bucking up and down I usually default to a a lob the jig and let it pendulum over the brush technique and then they will bite where as trying to park right on top of them, with the boat and jig going up and down over them, they just wont bite.
Wintertime fishing definitely requires a lot of angling adjustment from summertime fishing.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
