The number of Guide Trips slows in the late Fall and early Winter as other activities (Christmas Shopping, Hunting, Football Playoffs, etc.) are more important than fishing for most folks. However, the folks that think that the fishing slows in the early Winter are missing out on some awesome action. On most of our trips this time of year, we put the White Bass and Catfish Rods in the boat and do a little bit of fishing for both. This was the case this past week as Adam and I conducted trips Wednesday thru Saturday and loaded the ice chest with MONSTER Whites and Eater Size Catfish. We have found the Whites on Humps and Points in 25'-30'FOW and they were extremely active this past week as the water temp is still in the low 60's. The Slab and Jig Combo put easy limits of really large fish in the ice chest in record time and then we moved up the Creek to timber and fished for Blue and Channel Cats. Danny Kings Punch Bait on a # 4 Treble Hook is the ticket! The Spring like temps in the 70's made for pleasant trips, great catches and happy customers. We especially enjoyed the company of a couple of our most loyal Customers as Max and Martha joined us for a Thursday PM and Friday AM trip. Max celebrated his 90th Birthday and the Couple's 65th Wedding Anniversary! We have plenty of openings in December and would love to show you a good time. Solid indeed. RC whites are big n healthy and well from the looks of those hefty whites might need a heavier pole pulling in two at a time. Well done.
