Moon phases coupled with barometric pressure and the changes within dictate my schedule .

Someone will chime in and state, fish have to feed, go when you can, the fish are biting somewhere etc...

To be consistent in catching fish is my concern.

Agree 100% on the moon and pressure. My problem is, the only time to get to go fishing is on Saturday mornings. So I go fishing most Saturday mornings. Typically days with 0 wind is tough, mornings after a full moon are usually slower. Days where the N wind is switching to S can be brutally slow. I’ve marked lots of fish those days and had trouble getting them to bite.

I have had some of my best days on the days I say will typically would not be good. The best day I have ever had striper fishing was in January of 2021. Dark moon, sunny and not a cloud in the sky, high pressure and absolutely 0 wind. Worst day I had last winter deadsticking was 2 weeks after that epic day in January, cloudy/rainy, low pressure, close to full moon. Both days we fished first thing in the morning.

The more days you fish, the more good days you will have. If you wait for the “perfect” day, you won’t have many good days to talk about.

You have to understand the fish. Fish are cold blooded. That means there body temp is the exact same temp as the water they are swimming in.
The warmer the water the faster there metabolism and thinking is. The colder it is the slower fish will be and there thinkin.

This warmer weather has done a number on stripes that were beginning to group up and head north on several lakes in No.Tex.

Good video. The wind is your friend. The only technique on Texoma that I would miss is pulling fish out of tree tops while drifting.

Tried deadstick method for first time Friday. We killed em. I could not believe how big a difference it made. Fun way to fish for sure.
