the bite was pretty consistant friday morning with a north wind blowing till about 9 or 9:30. Once the wind layed down the bite seemed to slow but still able to intice some to eat. Slabs with jigs and dead sticking worked good. Find the river channel and creeks intersecting and the near by flats and river ledge and you'll find the fish

Great screen shots, my favorite way to catch stripes and or sandies is out of tree tops.

Great screen shots. Bet there are a few dozen lures in that tree.

some more eye candy from yesterdays trip. They fed good for the most part. Seems the key to finding the more agressive fish has been locating some submerged trees on the edge of the river channel. The fish out over the main channel have been feeding fairly well but the the fish on the river channel edge around trees in the 30-35' have been really agressive. Most are the 18" stripers but did land 3 over 5 with biggest around 10-12 lbs

On your first screen shot with two distinct fish colors. Are we looking at whites on top with red and yellow colors and stripers below with red and blue?
Thanks. Still learning.

The yellow marks at 23' are stripers. The red/blue marks beneath are most likely catfish or smaller stripers/sandies. The catfish are softer returns and on that particular pallet yellow represents the harder returns due to the fish scales. This time of year I slow everything down. Turn down the graph scroll speed to about 2. If I turn it up too fast all the marks will be straight lines. I like to slow down the speed so I can tell the difference between active fish like you see at 23' and fish that make an arch. The arch is created cause the fish is not moving within the sonar, it's stationary. When you see fish creating lines like at 23' those fish are active and moving within the sonar cone as it passes through the fish
