Solutions / Fixes? Started about 6-8 weeks ago, lingering issue. Can’t pitch / flip anymore, no real issues with casting. Anything to do at home to resolve or do I need to see a a doctor? I do have a compression sleeve that helps but still hurts when pitching/flipping.

After eveyone comes on here and gives you all the 'fixes' that works, or don't, the only thing I have found is rest, and let it heal.
I've had tennis elbow off and on for 50 years. I have bowled professionally forever, and the pain comes from a grip and twisting motion,...I've been thru therapy sessions, electro shock,
and taken all kinds of meds and all that works for a while. But cure comes from change,...less gripping and less twisting, and strengthing
the area. Advil is still my friend.

No easy fix, but the best is rest as Jim suggests. From 2015 thru 2018 I fished in two bass clubs and fished around 100 days a year and it hit me around year 2 and took almost 2 years to get over it. I now only fish around 50 days a year and only fish for fun, best excercise for strength to prevent it is put a 5lb weight on a string and tie other end to a short 12" broom handle and roll it up and down with your 2 hands in a slow method. It strengthens all your tendons that you use when fishing.

I’ve quit pitching and flipping for the last several trips out, so it can “heal” per se. General casting / reeling doesn’t seem to cause any pain. Heck, some days it hurts to pickup a glass of tea.

curious.. do you use flonase ? I had to stop using it because it was exacerbating the joint pains. I use 800mg ibuprofen when the tennis elbow flares up. When using Flonase (nasal steroid for allergy relief) it made it worse. My thought is the dose was entering my bloodstream easily and causing the tendons to become less flexible.

Abstract. In five patients, tendon ruptures occurred in association with corticosteroid therapy, either systemic or local infiltration. The chronic nature of the pain in all of these patients suggests that what we often call tendinitis may in fact be early or partial ruptures of tendons. Patients who receive local infiltration of corticosteroids should perhaps be advised of the risk of a ruptured tendon.

mine was really bad for about two years , tried everything and had little to no success until I decided to change my diet . Eliminated dairy , all GMO's and any chemicals in my food . also reduced my sugar intake to 10% of what it was and no high fructose corn syrup . All that significantly reduced my inflammation levels and ALL my joint pain issues went away . Diet change isn't easy , most people can't do it ---but the end results are undeniable .

I went to a physical therapist last year for about 6 weeks for tennis elbow. A combination of dry needling, electric stimulation and some exercises made mine completely go away.

I had it real bad and started using the band that velcros across your upper forearm. It worked for me and it’s an inexpensive band. Hope it helps

Go see Doc and get a cortisol shot. Fastest relief of all the options. Sometimes it works before you stand back up and other times you just realize in a day or two, Oh yeah...that stopped hurting

Just had my 2nd shot in October. It hurts like holy hell but it worked. Had my TE from last December to July. Rest, ice Advil didn’t do jack. This will work.

Cortisone shots worked for me. Mine was onset from swinging a hammer. Start pitching with the other arm too. It’s good to expand your technique anyway.
