He told me yesterday morning he wished we could go fishing today! I had some stuff to do at the office but told him if I got done and it stayed quiet we could hit the lake for a little bit! Picked him up from mommas office about 11 and we ran home and hooked onto the sled and headed to Palestine! I haven't been here in a while but heard they were in their winter haunts already. Fork and Pines fish have made it so figured Palestine fish have too! We fished timber on the main lake in 32-38' FOW and the fish were pretty deep. 22-26' down. We used Jenko 11' KR Rods like always and hand tied jigs in shad patterns in 1/8 and 1/4oz with a kicker weight to help get them down. We fished and looked around about 3 hours and ended up with 30 in the cooler! Bringing some to my Okie buddy this weekend on our duck hunt! I got a couple days left in early Dec if anybody wants to load the freezer for a Christmas fish fry, then the boats going in for some maintenance and to get ready for next years tournament trails! They’re where I catch them at in winter anyhow. I don’t fish down close to the dam on Pines so can’t help you there but I’m sure there’s some down there already. They’ve moved a good bit the last month or so everywhere I’ve been.
