I’m looking for some help with Raptors for a 2019 Z519. I’m going to attach sandwich brackets between the transom and the motor. Then attach the adapter plate to them. I have a Mercury Pro XS on the boat. I’m wanting to know what setback and rise is recommended. I’ve called Ranger and they said call the dealer. The dealer had no clue. What are Ranger owners running and or using?

IIRC I read somewhere that Mercury says no sandwich brackets on their motors. If you're going through the trouble of pulling the motor go ahead and add a jack plate.

I called Mercury about that. They said, it’s like any after market part including a jack plate. If it causes engine failure it will not be covered.
