Just having fun throwing around ultralight lures in a creek in Marble Falls. Caught a 5+ lb bass!!

Nj- big bass dont always bite big. You will come across some that have just consumed a small meal, especially in ponds and creeks. If they eat too much, it will affect their buoyancy. Although, in small water I have seen small bass take large lures that barely fit in their mouths also. In my experience, (though I only go for the big boys now: ie. Catfish) presentation and native bait representation have a whole lot more to do with it than size. [Except during spawn]
