From my own experience it's been popers/chuggers in late spring and summer and bigger walking baits in late fall. As for buzzbaits I throw them almost all year.

For me...my all around go to is a walking bait. They seem to always draw in bites when the fish are feeding on top.

Throw all 3 and let the fish tell me which they prefer on any given day.

My go to is a walking bait but I will throw anything if I feel like that will get bit. A frog on the fall is good

I keep a spook tied on year round. Depending on time of year I move speed up or down, but move it pretty fast 95% of the time.

Throw all 3 and let the fish tell me which they prefer on any given day. Most of the time when I go fishing I don't even tie baits on until I get on the water and evaluate the situation. I think too often we don't have the best day we could have because we try to force the fish to eat what we're throwing. If I pull up to a spot and I see small threadfin flipping around the surface I will probably start with a 1/4 oz Yellow Magic in shad color. If I see bigger shad or bluegill feeding I might tie on a big walking bait like a spook or swimbait. If the cover is too thick to fish a bait with trebles, like lily pad stems, I will throw a frog. Stop trying to figure the fish out while you sit here on TFF and get out on the water!

I love a spook! Always got one tied on. It might be in the rod box, but itโs ready to go!

I have a walking bait tied on all year-Salt and freshwater fishing. One knocker spook Catwalk Spook Jr
I never really cared for poppers, even though I know they get smashed.

I have been killing them on a Bass Pro Shops Tourney Special Popper in Yellow Perch. REPLACE THE OEM HOOKS they are total [censored]. Working it kinda like a jerk bait pop, pop, pop pause...
