For various reasons I haven't fished the office at Lewisville in a while. Since We sold the boat we had there it is just sitting empty. My boat is at Texoma, Big Mineral Marina for now. We are paid up here until April first.
I'm undecided on whether to bring my boat back here or keep it at Texoma and give up the office here.

If anyone out there wants to take over the office contact me. Marina fishing is normally quite good especially in winter.

The slip is well brushed out and has a deck with trap doors to fish thru as well as around the slip.

Starting next year you have to have a boat with a $500k insurance policy

Unfortunately most marinas are not fisherman friendly these days. I let my slip on Grapevine go a few years back because of this same reason

They're going through all of the slips removing everyone's hangs, if its pvc or plastic they're taking it out, if it's trees they're just cutting and letting it sink.

No idea, I called them to see what the requirement was and that was the required insurance according to the lady in the office.

Ernest, have they removed any of your trees? that's disappointing if so.

guess they just want wakeboard boats and party boats.

We had to have this when we put our boat in Cottonwood. I can't remember if our insurance policy already had it or it was extremely cheap to add it. Either way, it wasn't a deal breaker.

They haven't bothered the trees in our slips, Just in the ones around us. They have made it obvious that they don't want fishermen renting slips in the marina.

The insurance on boats in the marina has always been a requirement, not an issue with me.

Yes, it's one of the reasons. The continued rising rent is another. Slips now cost $6,000. per year for the smallest slips.

They claim the corp's rules prohibit hanging anything from the docks. I call BS on that. They also said the extra weight on the flotation was also too much but they allow a refrigerator at each slip.
