Not sure where this is exactly, have not googled anything. I fished the Kansas river a lot when I was in high school and college, between Topeka and Manhattan. There were some huge flatheads in this river... Find a big deep hole, and it would hold a big fish.

Like you said Tim, hope they relocated them.

I worked on the rip rap below Lake Livingston dam in the 70s and there were lots of cats trapped in the holes that we were filling up. The lake authority let us have the blues but we had to put the flatheads back into the stilling basin. There were some biguns ! I believe the biggest blues were 30/35 lb., but some of the flatheads were a two man haul, we didnโ€™t weigh any of course but Iโ€™d guess 50/60 lb.
