Fished Fayette yesterday and a friend of mine told me the buzzards were all over the vehicles at the Park Prairie ramp. I was parked at Oak Thicket. When I left I talked to one of the staff and they said the buzzards were all over the vehicles there at Oak Thicket a few days earlier. I have a truck cover that I now put on after I had $2000 worth of damage last year from those nasty birds. I have observed when the cast netting for tilapia picks up so does the buzzard activity. I think cleaning all those fish and dumping their remains in around the boat ramps adds to the buzzard activity. Anyway be aware and make sure your insurance is current.

For some reason, the buzzards do not appear to be as bad at Oak Thicket. Park Prairie can be full of them.

Be safe,

I would guess there is correlation between tilapia carcasses and the buzzards.
