Got on the water at sunrise...well fog rise...had to use navigation system to find my way around. Met up with Tomrom & we chased bass around til about 3:30. Pretty good bite up until around 1:30 when it shut down completely. Ended up with 26 bass and nothing else. I will let Tom tell u how he & his partner did stir ...Water temp was around 68-72 degrees most everywhere I went. About half the bass were caught on swim baits & half on plastic worms...mostly in 18-25 ft of water. Nice day on the water...wind not too bad. That's Tom in the background in the 1st & last Photo...[Linked Image]

18-25 feet no wonder I had such bad luck there Sunday. Do you expect them to come in shallower in a few weeks if the weather cools down a bit?

Thanks Alan Tom & Chuck.
Carl...Every day is different...In an area I caught 40 two weeks ago I caught 1 yesterday... As the water temperature goes down & the lake level gets lower, it does seem like they go deeper. I have not fished deep that much in the past, but am trying to expand my knowledge by trying new things out there. I do know one thing however...if you find the baitfish (shad) there will usually be bass near by...

Haha Steve. You caught them all. We only caught two for the day. I told my partner the only thing I was doing different than Steve was that I had his nasty you no what in my boat. So will see how many times he goes with me in the future. At least you got a good shot of my boat Steve. On a side note Steve reported buzzards all over the vehicles parked at Park Prairie. With that said I went back to Oak Thicket and put my cover on my truck. There was only one buzzard in the lot when I got there. I had previously $2000 of buzzard damage so I bought a truck cover. When I left around 3 with only two fish to show for the day, I stopped to pay because I did not have change and no one was there when I showed up. They told me the buzzards were over the vehicles there at Oak Thicket last Thursday. So they are out there at both ramps still doing damage.

Curtis... The wind has not been bad because I pick which day to fish, mainly based on that one factor...

Yep. I try planning those less windy days also. For the most part those days have been hard to find this fall, due to the work schedule. bang
